People often wonder why there are so few women in tech (not to mention women in blockchain/crypto). There’s a myriad of reasons - but one of them is these “images” that turn people away from choosing a field that they are interested in - because they don’t fit that mould. I know, because I’ve been there, except it was my elementary schools teacher. Apparently, being a girl meant “no tech roles for me” in my future.
Memes like this are unacceptable - this idea and this mentality of what it means to be “girly” need to be shattered. More than anything, we need to have women sharing stories and providing support to the new generation of developers and women in tech.
